For Barbara Frake, equine and canine subjects have become a major focus, but her work is by no means limited to those areas. Commissions of all sorts are welcome, and include everything from architecture and landscapes to portraiture.
Working in an assortment of media: pen & ink, pencil, colored mixed media, and oils, and also venturing into sculpture, Barbara is producing her best work yet. Her recent work has celebrated her own interest in horses and carriage driving, while commissions have kept her especially mindful of her drawing skills and attention to detail.
Current fine art projects include subjects in dressage, carriage driving, fox hunting, dogs, and portraits.
In the past year, she has provided illustrations for a number of books in the dogs "for Dummies" series, available at bookstores and on the internet.
